As discussed last night meeting, we will start implementing this RA especially on the use of DOT certified helmets as part of LMC safety requirement for both newbie & currently certifed members.

We are encouraging all members to purchase only those HELMET BRANDS which are DOT or ECE approved helmets. (ex: Zeus, Spyder, Shark, KBC, Caberg, Arai, Shoei, HJC..and many more, just reasearch before buying)

INDEX & GDR Helmets are not DOT Certified, so please refrain from buying.

Buy only on respected motorcycle gears shop that sells quality helmets.

Cut-off date of impelemtation for LMC will be futher discussed to give time for our members to purchase a DOT cert. Helmet.

Take note that, the RA is already implemented, cut-off is only for our clubs regulation. We are not liable for any violation to this RA once who are caught by the implementing agency.

Another thing is the strict implementation of NO SANDALS, NO OPEN SHOES POLICY for LMC members, DURING RIDES.

Under Sec. 5:

SEC. 5. Provision of Motorcycle Helmets. - A new
motorcycle helmet which bears the Philippine Standard (PS) mark
or Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) of the Bureau of Product
Standards (BPS) and complies with the standards set by the BPS
shall be made available by every seller and/or dealer every time a
new motorcycle unit is purchased and which the purchaser may
buy at his option. Failure to comply with the requirements
provided under this section shall constitute a violation of this
Act.

I think Carting Helmets are same as INDEX.

How about "LS2 Helmets?"...are they also DOT certified?

Some of out members are using LS2 Helmets, and they said that it is DOT certified,

AFAIK LS2 helmets are ECE rated, just like Spyder, so pasok sya, hehe!

Research nalang din tayo about certification ng mga helmet na binibili natin..baka sticker lang yan for marketing purpose. Dont forget to share in this thread kung may matuklasan tayo...you know.

LS2 siya, with box, manual, sticker and bag but the problem is WALA siyang ECE na naka lagay sa likod, tinext ko papa Totz sabi baka sadya daw wala naka lagay yung sakin.. pa HELP po para mapa palitan ko.. TIA
